WET TOTS (30 minutes)

A parent-child program for baby’s ages 6 months to 3 years. The parent participates with the child in the water. This class is formatted to your toddler’s stage of development. This class goes over basic water skills while having fun by singing songs and learning names and numbers. This class focuses on informing the parent of aquatic safety. It also focuses on having the child be more comfortable swimming between the parent and instructor. This is a great opportunity to bond with your child while having social time with other parents.

 

PRESCHOOL PROGRAM (3–5 YEARS OLD)

 

PIKE (30 minutes, 1:4 ratio)

This class is for beginners who have little experience in an aquatic atmosphere. This class emphasizes being comfortable in the water. Pikes are taught basic skills such as blowing bubbles in the water, arm paddling, front float, back float, jumping and kicking.

 

EEL (30 minutes, 1:4 ratio)

This class is for beginners who have had some experience to an aquatic surrounding. The requirements to enter this class are as follows: prone float, back float w/o help, paddle on the front 5 feet w/o float belt, submerge and hold breath for 5 seconds.

 

RAY (30 minutes, 1:4 ratio)

The requirements for joining this class are as follows: 10 seconds prone and back float, glide and kick about 10 feet to instructor, 25 yards front paddle w/float belt, jump into deep water turn and swim to the wall w/o help, elementary backstroke 10 yards.

 

STARFISH (30 minutes, 1:4 ratio)

The requirements for joining this class are as follows: be confident in deep water w/o an instructor, back float no time, swim crawl 15yds roll over and kick on your back for 10 yards, elementary back stroke 15 yards, beginner backstroke, and jump into deep swim 5 feet under water, tread water for 30 seconds.
