Our Pathfinders program is a great way for parents and tweens/teens (grades 6-12 or ages 10-17), to connect as a family. Monthly group activities and events help you build a foundation for a positive relationship with your child while, together, you’ll develop exciting relationships with new friends…
“I never thought I’d see my mom and me together in a tent on a camping trip, but we did it, and actually had fun! I don’t get to spend time alone with her since I have a two brothers and a sister, so it was great to do something with her on my own.”
The activities are always fun, ranging from camping trips to laser tag, parties, and more. Your tween/teen will also be excited to participate because we ensure they’re an integral part of planning and coordinating the activities.
Our Pathfinders program provides tremendous benefits for both you and your tween/teen as it:
- Builds your child’s self-esteem and self worth
- Expands an awareness of spirit, mind and body
- Emphasizes the vital role that you as a parent play in the growth and development of your tween/teen, while spending quality time together
- Offers an important and unique opportunity to develop and enjoy volunteer leadership skills
Check out the schedule of events at your local Y, and if you have any questions, just give them a call.
Families that play together, stay together.
