Under the leadership & partnership with the Executive Director, this position will effectively oversee an operational budget of approximately $2 million dollars which includes, but is not limited to Membership, Healthy Lifestyles, Aquatics, Sports & Recreation, Youth & Teen programs, Facilities, and Branch Safety.
The Mid Valley Family YMCA currently serves approximately 4,000 households in the mid San Fernando Valley – one of the densest and most diverse parts of Los Angeles. Communities served includes Van Nuys, Panorama City, North Hills, Arleta, Sherman Oaks, Pacoima, Lake Balboa, as well as parts of North Hollywood and Encino. Currently 40% of households at the Mid Valley Family YMCA, qualify for some level of financial assistance meaning their household income is less than $50,000 annually.
The branch, a full 52,000 sq. foot facility features a gymnasium, 4 cardio exercise rooms, three group exercise studios, free weight room, four locker rooms, child activity center, on-site preschool, and teen hub. Along with the full facility on Lennox Avenue, the Mid Valley Family YMCA has numerous programs across the community that includes PE PLAY at four local elementary schools, numerous grant funded preventative health & wellness programs, as well as other youth leadership programs such as Model United Nations.
