Swim Lesson Instructor
Through an innovative partnership with the Los Angeles Unified School District, the new Collins & Katz Family YMCA will be a state-of-the-art 72,000 square foot YMCA facility and parking structure on the campus of University High School in West Los Angeles. In addition to offering full-service amenities for its members, the Y will help address the reduction of public school programs by providing extended physical education opportunities for students on campus. Serving the community since 1941, the Westside Family YMCA will triple its capacity as the Collins & Katz Family YMCA.

Minimum age of 16.
Standard First Aid, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, Emergency Oxygen Administration
Ability to swim with proficiency and endurance; ability to react appropriately and remain calm and efficient in caring for problems; knowledge of proper swimming techniques
YMCA Swim Lesson Instructor Certification or ARC Water Safety Instructor is preferred
Ability to maintain required certification.
Under the supervision of the Aquatic Coordinator, the Aquatic Instructor is responsible for professional instruction of all swim lessons. As a member of the Aquatics team, the Aquatic Instructor is also responsible for the safety of members in the pool and pool area by enforcing policies and procedures courteously and professionally.
