Youth (Teen) Fitness Certification (FC) (ages 10-15 Yrs)

FC is mandatory for use of cardiovascular equipment (treadmill, x-trainer, and bike). Teaches basic principles of nutrition, stretching, and cardiovascular training. Children ages 10-11 must have their parent/legal guardian present through the duration of the class, to attain their certification card.

Class is held Thursday 4:00pm-5:00pm or Saturday 11am-12pm.

 

Youth/Teen Fitness Certification II - Resistance Training and Evaluation (ages 12-15yrs)

After successful completion of FC I, 12-15 yr olds can make an appointment with a Healthy Lifestyle Counselor to complete 5 mandatory one on one sessions. During the 5 appointments the teens will become familiar with resistance exercise, proper use of specific weight machines and be issued a Fitlinxx ID number to help track workouts. Upon completion of this class, youth will be eligible to enroll in Strength and Endurance I (based on instructors evaluation) or Youth will be allow to continue with current Fitlinxx exercise Program.

 

Tween Muscle Pump (ages 9-11)

Tweens will get a full body workout in this one hour class taught by a certified Healthy Lifestyle Counselor. Half of the class will be a cardio work out including agility drills and games. Then, pump those muscles using dumbbells, medicine balls, and resistant bands.

Tuesdays and Fridays 4:00pm - 5:00pm

All Star Workout

ages 9-11

Activities and games will focus on gross and fine-motor skill development, cardiovascular endurance and muscle strengthening while learning about the human body and sportsmanship.

Classes are offered Mondays: 6:00-7:00p.m. and Thursdays 5:30-6:15

 

Kids Yoga

7 & up

Yoga can be a life-long gift to your child. With fun in mind, we build awareness and self-esteem while increasing flexibility and developing strong healthy bodies.

Class offered Saturdays 9:45-10:30

 

Martial Arts

Ages 9-13

Black belt instructors teach your children in a fun and safe environment. Class focuses on cardiovascular endurance, strength training, flexibility and motor development.

Class offered Mondays & Wednesdays 7:30-8:30p.m.

 

Dance

Jr. Jazz II

Ages 9-12

This jazz dance class is designed for teens and pre-teens. Participants will enjoy learning routines to their favorite upbeat music. With fun always a focus, dancers will learn dance basics as well as increasing coordination, cardiovascular endurance, muscle strength and flexibility.

Classes offered Mondays 5:30-6:30p.m., Wednesdays 5:30-6:30p.m., & Thursdays 4:30-5:30p.m.

 

Hip-Hop

Ages 9-12

Make new friends and learn funky routines in this great hip hop class. It's great for that teen who loves to groove to music and move, move, move. Learn basic hip hop moves and work on muscle strength and cardiovascular endurance through teen friendly strength conditioning skills.

 

Swim

Lap Swimming

Even a few laps can have a positive impact on your well being. Two lap lanes are reserved for lap swim al all times!

 

Swim Lessons

Perfecting strokes, working on endurance and developing confidence are just a couple of skills that children may learn in the swim lesson program.

 

Water Polo

Ages 9-12

Children get the opportunity to work together in a team atmosphere, while building on new skill development. Ball handling skills will help strengthen muscles and develop hand/eye coordination. Treading water focuses on building cardio and muscle endurance.
