Jr. Lakers & Shooting Sparks

Sponsored and supported by the Los Angeles Lakers! With over 30,000 kids participating per year all around Los Angeles, this program teaches youth ages 5 - 15 years fundamental basketball skills through regular one-hour weekly practices and focuses on teamwork and good sportsmanship. Everyone plays! One hour practices are held at the YMCA Mondays - Thursdays beginning at 5pm. Volunteer coaches choose their day and practice time. Games are played on Saturdays and for the 11 - 15 year old divisions, some games may be played off-site.

League Fees

Facility Member: $70

Program Member: $90 

Youth & Family Members who wear a uniform from a previous season may deduct $10 from their fee.

League Divisons

Co-Ed Instructional League (5 - 6 yrs and 7 - 8 yrs)

Junior Lakers & Shooting Sparks (9 - 10 yrs, 11 - 12 yrs, and 13 - 15 yrs)

Practices begin twice a week prior to games, once a week when games begin.
