Camp Round Meadow / Camp Whittle
Entering Grades 3 - 8
There’s nothing like summer time at Camp Round Meadow in the Big Bear Mountains! This week-long adventure is for all camping levels and campers stay in log cabins with 8 –10 friends. Activities include archery, horseback riding, low ropes, canoeing, nature walks, hiking, pioneering, theme dress up days, swimming and drama. Each day ends with campfire singing and skits. Make camp memories for a lifetime!
We have over 20 trained staff that volunteer one week of the year to help make a difference in a child’s life. The YMCA camp directing staff has a total of over 40 years of combined camp leadership experience. Each selected leader is trained a minimum of 25 hours. This training includes topics such as risk management, activity programming, positive discipline, YMCA values and moral characteristics.

Ages 16 – 17
Build leadership qualities and have an awesome time with your cabin mates at Camp Round
Meadow! CITs will learn the roles and responsibilities of being a camp counselor and test the skills they’ve learned.
