Summer League Runs June 21 - Aug 14
The program emphasizes character development and YMCA values, while teaching individual and team basketball skills. The program features professional style uniforms and CIF-certified referees for the older divisions. Boys and girls are placed within age divisions on balanced teams using the tested talents of each player. The season will comprise of one practice a week for an hour and a one hour game on Saturdays.
Parents Informational Meeting:
The meeting is now on Wed, June 16 from 6 - 7 pm at the South Pasadena Middle School Auditorium.
Registration:
YMCA members may begin registering April 12.
Open registration for program members begins April 17.
Registration closes June 4 or when league reaches capacity. Applications may be accepted after May 28 if space is available. Applications received after May 28 are subject to a $15 late fee.
$120 members/$140 program members, plus $27 uniform.
Skill Assessment For Summer will be on June 5th: For Ages 9-14
The skills assessment will be run as a small clinic, by Occidental Head Basketball Coach Brian Newhall. Coaches will assess the kids during this small clinic and the assessment is used to form balanced teams. The skills assessment will be held at the Occidental College Rush Gym. 9 -10 am: Boys 9-10
10 -11 am: Boys 11-14
11am - 12:00pm: Girls 9-10
12 -1 pm: Girls 11-14
