Camp Whittle

Boys and girls entering grades 4 - 7

Located in the San Bernardino Mountains, YMCA Camp Whittle is the ideal learning and recreational setting for returning and first time campers. Experienced adult leaders will guide your children in activities including horseback riding, swimming, canoeing, archery, crafts and much more. Group living skills are learned and values are reinforced in a safe and nurturing environment. Girls sleep in cabins and boys sleep in cabins or platform tents.

Leadership Camp at Camp Whittle

Teens entering grades 8 – 10

Located in the San Bernardino Mountains, YMCA Leadership Camp is held during the YMCA week at Camp Whittle. The Leadership Camp program is designed to teach leadership skills and qualities to teens using the multi-layered physical, social and values education activities structured into our week at Camp Whittle. The program also works to further develop and broaden those skills and qualities by challenging the teens in the program to use their knowledge and skills in specially designed activities throughout the week of camp.

Mammoth Base Camp

Boys and girls entering grades 7 - 9

Wilderness camping for teens… sleeping in tents in the great outdoors in the beautiful Sierra Mountains! On this camping trip you will visit many beautiful sites in the Sierra Mountains, meet new friends and have a memorable experience. While at Mammoth Base Camp, campers will have the opportunity to enjoy hiking, fishing, rock climbing and swimming. Campers will visit High Sierra historical landmarks, including Rainbow Falls, Devils Postpile National Monument, June Lake and many other wonderful sites in the greater Mammoth Lakes area. The camp is perfect for an adventurous teen.
