Jr. Lifeguards

The LA County Junior Lifeguard Prep class is returning for the Winter II 2012 session! These classes are for participants interested in trying out for the L.A. County Jr. Beach Guard program. They are designed to help build endurance and give some coaching tips to participants trying to achieve the time set by the L.A. County Jr. Beach Guard program. This does not guarantee participants will pass the L.A. County Jr. Beach Guard swim test, but will help to prepare the participant for the test.

Classes:

Sat. 11:30 am – 12:15 pm (9 – 11 years old)
Sat. 12:15 – 1 pm (12 – 13 years old)
Sat. 1 – 1:45 pm (14 – 17 years old) 

Location:

All classes are held at the Torrance Y in our heated, indoor pools and taught by knowledgeable, certified instructors.

Fees for the 5-week class:

Family Member: $40

Youth/Child Care: $46

Program Member: $110
