Y-U

Y-University is an after school program for students in grades 3 – 8 offered at the Westchester Family YMCA Branch. Youth can enjoy this unique program that provides leadership and character development through community service, team building and mentoring. We also provide youth fitness, swimming, enrichment, homework assistance, and much more. Students can also utilize out learning center for school projects and our computer lab. Y-U also has access to our newly designed Kid Zone, with a sports wall, dance revolution, Nintendo Wii and much more.

Y-U staff pick-up students from two schools; we provide a staff walking shuttle from both Kentwood Elementary School and Orville Wright Middle School. Students work in separate areas, with age-appropriate curriculums for both elementary school students and middle school students. Our staff is caring and qualified, with CPR/First Aid certifications and trainings in both child abuse prevention and positive discipline.
