Mammoth Caravan

Entering Grades 6 - 9

Venture into the wilderness with our Mammoth experience and explore breathtaking Mammoth Mountain. Join us at Camp High Sierra for YMCA camping in its purest form. We will tent camp on camp property and take various excursions that will fill each day with excitement. This camp is designed for campers yearning for a deeper appreciation of nature. Activities include archery, hiking, mountain biking, and rock climbing. Other activities include visiting Rainbow Falls, Inyo craters and fish hatchery. Campers learn leadership development and have an opportunity to make new friends through wilderness adventure and team work.

 

California Coast Caravan

Entering Grades 9 - 12

Hit the open road this summer with the High School Caravan Camp as we explore the California Coast. Teens will tent camp in California’s beautiful state parks, while participating in activities such as hiking, swimming, discovering California landmarks, a day at the Santa Cruz boardwalk, and river rafting on the American River! In addition, teens will have to opportunity to participate in leadership and character development activities such as itinerary planning and the YMCA Ragger Program. This camp is held in conjunction with the Culver-Palms Family YMCA and space is limited, so be sure to sign up early for this exciting new teen camp!

  

High School Counselor in Training (CIT)

Ages 15 - 18

Your teen will develop skills such as leadership, communication, teamwork, and organization. CITs will be assigned to cabins and act as leaders to younger campers under the guidance of adult camp counselors and directors. Each CIT will have the opportunity to share some camp activities with their peers away from cabin groups under the guidance of our CIT director and will receive additional training in CPR and First Aid.
