Volunteer

Locally, nationally and throughout the world, volunteers founded the YMCA. Volunteers

started the Westchester Family YMCA in 1952 and it has been led by volunteers, serving on the Board of Managers, ever since.

What can I do?

As a YMCA volunteer, you can lead a group exercise class, coach a basketball team, greet people, serve as a role model for young people, or help out at a special event. As you contribute your time and talents you'll be working alongside other caring, committed people who make a vital difference in your community.

How do I apply?

Volunteers in YMCA programs go through an interview and training process similar to that of paid staff. This process helps you find the best fit for your skills while also ensuring the safety of our members, participants, staff, and other volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering, please call 310-670-4316 or print the Volunteer Interest Form.
