Now, THAT’S the way to begin a Friday – with purpose, with energy and in celebration of those so deserving recognition for their service! Our YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles 64th Annual Good Friday Breakfast once again proved why this inspirational gathering is one of Los Angeles’ grandest traditions. From the passionate and compelling words from the stage to the remarkable fellowship of hundreds of dedicated LA Y Volunteers in attendance, a sense of excitement for new opportunities in service to others was felt by all. This is indeed the season of renewal, rebirth and reconnection to all that is possible. Just as Winter is greeted by Spring, it was our great honor to warmly welcome persons of every faith and belief to join together in celebrating the promise of the future.
We are extraordinarily grateful for the thoughtful remarks of each of our presenters and guests, delivered with such positive conviction. We extend our most sincere appreciation to the Honorable Karen Bass, Los Angeles Mayor, for her remarkable call-to action as our Keynote Speaker, and her office’s continuing support to the communities we serve. The personal beliefs shared in each of our esteemed guests’ messages rang true and clear, and we are thankful for their contributions.
Our Good Friday Breakfast is a perennial moment of recognition for our incredible YMCA Volunteers, celebrating their immeasurable capacity for giving. Whether it’s their time, talent or tenacity, our generous Volunteer family’s collective enthusiasm and determination to make things better for all is the life force of our YMCA communities. We are so thankful that our Volunteers, both those in attendance and throughout the years, consistently choose the YMCA as their trusted partner and pathway to meaningful engagement with those most in need.
As the seasons of 2023 turn, the spirit of this powerful morning will continue to unify us and our shared belief in Promise and Possibilities!
