As an expression of the Association\u2019s commitment to\u00a0protect the personal information of its members, employees, and volunteers the\u00a0following Privacy Policy (\u201cpolicy\u201d) has been adopted.<\/p>\n<p>This Privacy Policy will advise you about the Association\u2019s guidelines concerning the\u00a0use of your personal information, including the reasonable efforts we make to\u00a0protect your personal information in accordance with these guidelines and about\u00a0what choices you have concerning the Association\u2019s use of such information. Please\u00a0read this Policy carefully.<\/p>\n<p>Please refer to this Policy regularly. The Association may need to change this Policy from time to time to address new issues and reflect changes on our website.\u00a0Changes will be posted to the Association\u2019s website and will update the \u201clast\u00a0updated\u201d date at the top of this page so that you will always know the Association\u2019s\u00a0policies regarding what information is gathered, how information is used, and\u00a0whether the Association will disclose that information to anyone.<\/p>\n<p>The Association collects information from members in multiple database(s) for the\u00a0purposes of billing; supporting the progress of its members toward their goals;\u00a0encouraging the involvement of the whole family; and providing information on\u00a0upcoming Association events and program opportunities. Member information is\u00a0also aggregated in certain ways to help staff and the Association\u2019s Board determine\u00a0how well it is serving the community and how it can improve its operations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00c1mbito de aplicaci\u00f3n de la pol\u00edtica de privacidad:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This policy applies to the personally identifiable information (\u201cPII\u201d) which you\u00a0provide to the Association either through our websites, in person, or otherwise. The Association may contact you based on the\u00a0information you provide online or offline.<\/p>\n<p>The Association shares member and donor information with financial institutions,\u00a0government agencies, and companies working on behalf of the Association only as\u00a0needed to conduct Association operations or other support services. We also may\u00a0share your information with other YMCA Associations and with the YMCA of the\u00a0USA, which is a national resource office for the YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles\u00a0and other local YMCAs, to help improve the overall network of YMCAs. The Association will not sell, rent or lease your personal information to others,\u00a0including information provided about children.<\/p>\n<p>You may inspect your records and update your personal information at any time.\u00a0Please notify the Executive Director at your Association center location, with regard\u00a0to any concerns you may have about the privacy of your records.<\/p>\n<p>The Association and each of its community locations are committed to keeping any\u00a0and all PII confidential and secure. Your PII includes personal information, such as\u00a0your name, address, birth date, social security number (employees only),\u00a0employer, payment history, bank information, personal health information (\u201cPHI\u201d)\u00a0and program and donor involvement.<\/p>\n<p>This Privacy Policy applies to all current and former members, employees,\u00a0volunteers, and donors (\u201cmembers\u201d), as well as to all persons who have offered\u00a0personal information to the Association as prospective members or employees.<\/p>\n<p><strong>C\u00f3mo protegemos su privacidad:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Association maintains procedural, electronic, and physical safeguards to protect\u00a0the PII of its members, donors, and volunteer staff, including, but not limited to,\u00a0the following:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Garant\u00edas procesales:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>La Asociaci\u00f3n s\u00f3lo permite el acceso a la IIP a los empleados y voluntarios autorizados que necesiten dicho acceso y que hayan recibido formaci\u00f3n sobre el tratamiento adecuado de la informaci\u00f3n de los miembros. We realize that they may not understand all of the provisions of\u00a0Association policy or be able to make thoughtful decisions about the choices that\u00a0are made available to our adult members.
