At our 5th Annual Girl\u2019s Empowerment Day at Dignity Health Sports Park, over 5,000 girls came from across Los Angeles to play in engaging sports activations. We were honored to help build confidence, teamwork, and leadership with them both in the games and in their lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Simultaneously, 1,000 girls participated in parallel event in Mexico City!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Girls Empowerment Day is designed to inspire, activate, and empower young women. At a time when nearly 46% of middle school girls leave sports due to low body image, this event celebrates young women and inspires them to stay in sports. Middle and high school girls from across the LA area had the unique opportunity to train with professional athletes, Olympians and Paralympians while also learning from accomplished female industry leaders. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Empowering girls to participate in the sports industry has never been more critical. By leveraging the transformative power of sports to address social determinants of health, we are shaping the next generation of female leaders to Be Well<\/strong>, Do Good<\/strong>, \u0587 Lead Change <\/strong>in their communities.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019re so glad we were able to host this event and celebrate Women\u2019s History Month and International Women\u2019s Day \u2013 at the Y, we\u2019re here to support our youth throughout their entire lives, nurturing the kids of today to become the champions of tomorrow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
