Weight Loss Programs
Torrance-South Bay YMCA is now offering classes to help you lose weight and to improve your health for life. This behavior based 6-month program will teach you ways to eat healthy, burn more calories and improve your health. This new YMCA Weight Loss Program was designed for everyone. This program promotes modest weight loss (1-2 Lbs. a week) and increased physical activity through a 6-month lifestyle change program and also reflects new literature on self-efficacy, physical activity and diet from CDC. This program includes free sessions of small group training and free long term support group for those who attended the program.

- More about carbs
- Manage stress
- Find time for fitness
- Take charge of your thoughts
- Shop and Cook to Prevent Type II Diabetes
- Cope with Triggers
The Y's Weight Loss Program costs a total of $429 for the year. Financial assistance is available for those who qualify. Our unique program is classroom-based, led by a trained Lifestyle Coach.
