The YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles is excited to welcome Dr. Ciriaco “Cid” Pinedo as our new Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, starting Oct 12!

Dr. Pinedo brings more than 25 years of executive leadership experience at mission-driven organizations across Southern California. He comes to the Y from the Mexican American Opportunity Foundation (MAOF), one of California’s largest nonprofits, where as President & CEO he led nearly 1,000 employees across nine counties, expanding the organization’s reach and impact for children, families, seniors, and immigrant communities statewide. Before MAOF, he served as President and CEO of Children’s Fund, President of the Hope Through Housing Foundation, and COO of National Community Renaissance, helping guide a 10,000-unit affordable housing portfolio, plus spent over a decade in executive roles at Chaffey College.

The son of Mexican immigrants and a first-generation college graduate, Dr. Pinedo was raised in El Monte, California, and knows firsthand what access and opportunity can mean for a community,  values that make him a natural fit for our mission. He and his wife Dr. Teresa Pinedo share a deep commitment to education and family well-being.

Join us in giving Dr. Pinedo a warm welcome as he gets to know our members, staff, and the communities we’re proud to serve.
