Food Support
Through FeedLA, we deliver hot meals and fresh produce to families across the city—so everyone has what they need to stay nourished and well.

As the Center for Community Well-Being, the LA Y works to remove barriers to health equity and address systemic disparities.
Through targeted initiatives, we help underserved communities access food, housing, medical care, and mental health support—building a more equitable Los Angeles.
Through FeedLA, we deliver hot meals and fresh produce to families across the city—so everyone has what they need to stay nourished and well.
When wildfires impact our communities, we offer free Y memberships, childcare, mental health support, and more.
We’re expanding access to mental health services across our centers. Emotional well-being is essential to every stage of life.
We offer affordable legal screenings, referrals, and application support to help immigrants take their next step.
The LA Y takes a comprehensive approach to supporting community well-being by addressing the social determinants of health (SDOH)—the conditions in which people live, learn, work, and age that shape their overall health and quality of life.
What is SDOH?
Social determinants of health are the factors that impact someone’s ability to achieve overall well-being like access to a doctor, affordable childcare, training on how to get a loan or build credit, or even the opportunity to vote.
These challenges are often interconnected, and solving them takes a whole-community approach.
At the LA Y, we focus on five key areas that drive long-term impact across our region:
We create spaces where everyone feels seen, supported, and connected to their community.
We remove barriers and open doors to brighter futures from early education to career pathways.
We empower Angelenos to raise their voices and shape the future of their communities.
We offer training and support families need to meet basic needs and build self-sufficiency.
We expand access to the full picture of health and well-being across every stage of life.
