About Fire Relief Support
Free childcare, memberships, food, and more—helping families and seniors recover and rebuild. Together.
When wildfires hit our region, the LA Y moves fast to support those affected. From youth camps and mental health support to childcare and case management, we offer wraparound services that help families regroup, reconnect, and move forward—no matter their circumstance.
If you’ve lost your home:
If your home was destroyed or made unlivable, you’ll be asked to provide official proof—like a FEMA letter, insurance report, or verification from local authorities.
Once confirmed, a Well-Being Coordinator will stay in touch to help you navigate next steps, track progress, and plan for long-term recovery.
Here’s what’s available to you through the end of 2025:
- A free YMCA household membership with full access to all LA Y centers
- Free childcare and priority placement in youth programs
- Free Day Camp and one week of sleepaway camp for your children
- Free mental health support, wraparound services, and referrals to additional resources
If you’ve been seriously impacted:
This includes situations like school closures or relocations, job or income loss, evacuation-related challenges, or ongoing trauma.
Here’s what’s available to you:
- Subsidized YMCA membership for individuals or families, with flexible payment options
- Case management to coordinate resources and plan your recovery
- Free mental health services for adults and children
- Free educational and homework support for kids, plus distance learning for teens
- Infant and toddler care at the Burbank YMCA
- Expanded access to our Early Learning Readiness programs
