Afterschool / Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP)

Make the Most of
After School

In partnership with local schools, the YMCA offers Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP), where your child will experience a safe, enriching, and engaging environment before and after school—right on their school campus and at no cost.

What to Expect

Designed for TK through 8th grade students, our ELOP program offers free, high-quality programming that supports student achievement in the areas of academics, enrichment and recreation. Whether it’s help with homework, a hands-on science project, a group game on the playground, or a creative art activity, your child will be supported by caring and trained YMCA staff who are committed to helping them thrive and expand their learning.

As a parent, you can expect a program that runs every school day and aligns with your school’s bell schedule. Our activities are designed to foster achievement, strengthen relationships, and promote a sense of belonging for every student. Because the program takes place on your child’s school campus and is offered at no cost to families, participation is both convenient and accessible. If your child attends the hosting school, they are eligible to enroll and be part of a positive, structured, and nurturing YMCA program that extends learning beyond the classroom.
