Teen Programs / Boys & Young Men of Color (BYMOC)

Fostering Brotherhood,
Mentorship, and Opportunity

In our Boys and Young Men of Color strategy (BYMOC), young people find support, community, and opportunities to develop real skills—through camps, sports, civic action, and leadership programs.

What to Expect

From sports leagues to teen leadership, the BYMOC strategy is built into many of our programs to support boys and young men of color across LA.

We launched this initiative to address the deep inequities these young people face—and to make sure they have access to the relationships, resources, and opportunities they deserve.

Through BYMOC, young boys and young men of color find culturally responsive support, trusted mentors, and opportunities to explore their identities, build skills, and develop a stronger sense of belonging in their communities.

Reach out to Chris Jefferson (ChrisJefferson@ymcala.org) or Nick Vairo (NickVairo@ymcala.org) to learn more about the BYMOC strategy and how you can help support boys and young men of color across LA. Together, we can create more opportunity, more equity, and a stronger future—for everyone.
