YMCA Leadership Certifications

YMCA Leadership Certifications are national-level, professional certifications based on the Y’s Competency Model. Leadership Certifications are open to all Y Team Members and are broken down into 4 categories, by leadership level.

1. Create a Y-USA Link Account by clicking here.
2. Download the Learning Plan that corresponds to your leadership level:

• The Leader Certification: Designed for Team Members without supervisory responsibilities who are performing a direct service to members.
• The Team Leader Certification: Designed for Team Members performing supervision with direct reports.
• The Multi-Team Leader Certification: Designed for Team Members who regularly lead multiple teams of staff or volunteers with or without direct supervisory responsibility OR Staff members who provide tactical and operational leadership to multiple departments within a branch or association corporate office.
• The Organizational Leader Certification: Designed for Team Members who provide strategic and visionary leadership to the organization.
