Youth & Government / Model United Nations (MUN)
Step onto the
World Stage
Middle schoolers become global ambassadors through Model United Nations (MUN)—researching international issues, representing real countries, and working together to solve challenges that affect us all.
What to Expect
6th–8th graders join a local delegation—through a YMCA, school, or youth group—and meet weekly to create friendships, build community, and prepare for two statewide events. At these events, they become UN Ambassadors, representing nations as they write position papers, debate global issues, and draft resolutions in UN-style committees like the General Assembly, ECOSOC, and the International Court of Justice.
Dates & Times
Weekly meeting times are set by each delegation. Check with your local delegation for details.
- 26th MUN NorCal 1-Day Training Event: March-TBD
26th MUN SoCal 1-Day Training Event: March-TBD
- 26th MUN Summit: April 23-25 (Fri-Sun), Camp Roberts National Guard Base, San Miguel, CA
