Emergency Youth Programming
Student Support Day Care
For the duration of the Los Angeles Unified School District work stoppage, the YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles will be activating our Student Support Day Care program. We will be providing safe, welcoming, engaging spaces for kids and youth from kindergarten to high school. Find locations, hours, eligibility, and other details below. ELEMENTARY AND MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS
Eligibility: all program participants must be current LAUSD students
Ages: Kids ages 4-years-and-9-months to 11 years old
Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

- Ann & Steve Hinchcliffe San Pedro & Peninsula YMCA – $45/day
- Collins & Katz Family YMCA – $35/day
- Crenshaw Family YMCA – $35/day
- Culver-Palms Family YMCA – $25/day
- East Valley Family YMCA – $35/day
- Free for students currently enrolled in afterschool child care (sign up using Current Childcare Mbr option)
- Gardena-Carson Family YMCA – $45/day
- Hollywood YMCA – $35/day
- Ketchum-Downtown YMCA – Free
- Mid Valley Family YMCA – $35/day
- Free for students currently enrolled in afterschool child care (sign up using Current Childcare Mbr option)

Programming: Daily, age-appropriate activities in a safe and welcoming space. Morning snacks, lunch, afternoon snacks, and supper included.
Registration: Registration is online only, and on a first-come, first-serve basis. Spots are extremely limited for this program. You may select as many days as you would like (if schools are back open before your days are utilized, the YMCA will provide a refund). You will need to create an account to register. Waitlisted participants will be informed if and when spots become available.
MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
Eligibility: all program participants must be current LAUSD students
Ages: Teens ages 12 to 18
Hours: Open access – hours depend on location
Locations: Access to all YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles locations
Programming: Access to all facilities and programming available on location. Meals and snacks will be provided as needed. Please connect with your local teen director for more information.
Cost: Free
Registration: Students must be registered by a parent/guardian online only at this link or below through our Get Summer program. Spaces are unlimited for this program. After you complete your child’s online registration, you must sign a liability wavier (available here in English or Spanish).
