Everyone deserves access to mental health care. At the Y, we’re meeting people where they are—offering support, connection, and resources that make emotional well-being part of everyday life.

About this Program
We’re embedding mental health services across our Y centers and community programs, so Angelenos of all ages can get the support they need, right where they are.
Programs vary by location, but may include:
- Reclaim Your Calm: An 8-week group that helps participants understand anxiety, build resilience, and develop sustainable strategies for symptom management.
- Pathways To Healing: A 10-week group that empowers participants to understand and manage depression through cognitive tools, behavioral strategies, and social connection.
- Strong Foundations: A 6-week group focused on emotional well-being and resilience, helping participants build a personalized toolkit for managing transitions, setting boundaries, and fostering healthy relationships.
- The Calm Toolkit Program: A 6-week group focused on stress reduction through personalized coping strategies, mindfulness, and time management tools to build resilience and support long-term well-being.
- Mending the Gap: A 6-week program that helps teens build healthier relationships by learning tools for navigating conflict with empathy, curiosity, and open communication.
- Single-Session Workshops: One-time sessions covering topics like anxiety, self-esteem, goal setting, grief, and more—designed to offer practical tools for mental and emotional wellness.
- Building Resilience Series: A multi-week series that helps youth, parents, and older adults build emotional strength, navigate life’s challenges, and foster healthy relationships.
- Age-Specific Mental Health Groups: Tailored programs that support emotional wellness for athletes, families, and youth through trauma-informed tools and age-specific strategies.
- Social Emotional Lotería Program: A 6-week program using visual metaphors and interactive activities to help youth explore emotions, develop a growth mindset, and build social-emotional learning skills.
- Age-Specific Art Therapy Programs: Creative, age-tailored art therapy groups for kids, teens, and older adults—designed to support self-expression, build coping skills, and foster connection through the power of art.
- Art Therapy Single-Session Workshops: Creative, one-time sessions that support emotional expression, stress relief, and personal growth through hands-on art experiences.

Programs are open to individuals and families across Los Angeles—no Y membership required.
Services are offered at select YMCA centers throughout the city and delivered by Community Well-Being Specialists.
